Anjouan license

The Anjouan licence is an emerging offshore gambling authorisation issued by the Autonomous Island of Anjouan (part of the Comoros archipelago). It became active around 2020 and has grown rapidly as Curaçao's regulatory overhaul prompted operators to diversify their licence portfolios.

Practically: Anjouan licences are cheaper and faster to obtain than Curaçao, with lighter compliance requirements. For players, this means weaker dispute-resolution infrastructure — there's no public complaint registry or established mediation track record yet. Brands holding only Anjouan (no Curaçao or MGA) are typically newer or lower-tier; brands holding Anjouan as a secondary licence often use it for markets their primary licence doesn't permit.
